InsulAir came to us requesting a 3D explainer video highlighting their latest invention's benefits. The product is used in roofs to maintain insulation and moisture control, making 3D animation ideal for showcasing its use and installation process.

Strategy
To showcase a product utilized in spaces that are not easily accessed, a 3D environment was made so we could see-through walls, showcase insulation steps, and demonstrate benefits clearly and concisely without objects getting in the way. The camera flies through the house to give the viewer a step-by-step journey on why InsulAir is the solution they’re looking for.
Research
Part of the fun of creating videos like these is the amount of knowledge one accumulates through researching various subjects. In this case, the subject was roof insulation. In-depth research was required to determine the correct positioning, terms, installation steps, materials, and how airflow works. By the end of this project, I felt like I could install insulation myself (or at least know what to ask a professional).
Storyboard
Once the script is approved, we move on to creating a storyboard to give the client a visual presentation of how the animation will play out.
Production
Once the visuals are agreed upon, we move into production mode. The models are fine-tuned in Maya and then brought into C4D to be lit, animated, and rendered.
